The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Central Office, in collaboration with the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Service Office IX, conducted a 2-day seminar workshop to the stakeholders from different line government agencies in various venues in Zamboanga Peninsula last 02 to 03 March 2023.

In Zamboanga City, a total of 16 attendees which was facilitated by the Regional Statistical Service Office IX headed byOIC-SOCD RSSO IX Ma. Flerida E. Tan.In Zamboanga del Norte, a total of 18 attendees led by OIC-SEAS PSA Central OfficeElgie A. Gulane.Meanwhile, in Zamboanga del Sur, a total of 30 attendees headed by Senior Statistical Specialist of PSA Central Office, Precious Anne C. Cañete, and in ZamboanagaSibugay, a total of 26 attendees led by Statistical Specialist I of PSA Central Office Juan Jethro S. Ocbina

02 March 2023 – Day1: The seminar properly commenced with a theme “Briefing Workshop with Stakeholders Towards the Compilation of Provincial Product Accounts (PPA)”. This aims to fully understand the mechanism in sub-regional level, and data gathering from the stakeholder’s required information from their respective offices, and to re-assess and align the data to supplement the GDP, not only in the regional level, but also throughout the development of the whole country.

03 March 2023 - Day 2: Stakeholders continues with the workshop base on the knowledge that they acquired during the seminar-workshop. Responses were linked through a QR code and results were shown later after the stakeholders responded.

This year, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Service Office IX sights to accomplish this mechanism in order to fulfill the PPA roadmap. As Vision, by 2025, the PPA will be institutionalized in all provinces and highly urbanized cities of the 17 Regions in the Philippines.
