Headline inflation in Zamboanga City increased to 3.5 percent in August 2023 from 2.3 percent in July 2023. In August 2022, inflation rate was slightly higher at 7.4 percent. The year-to-date average inflation rate from January 2023 to August 2023 was recorded at 4.8 percent.

Headline inflation in Zamboanga City decelerated further with an inflation rate of 2.3 percent this July 2023 from 3.3 percent in the previous month. This is the fifth consecutive month of deceleration in the headline inflation and the lowest in the past
16 months. In July 2022, inflation was higher at 7.0 percent. The year-to-date average inflation rate for January to July 2023 is recorded at 5.0 percent.
