1 August 2025 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX paid a courtesy visit to the regional office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) IX to discuss and coordinate for the upcoming activities related to the Family Development Sessions (FDS) of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries. This meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the two agencies and ensure proper planning and support for the smooth implementation of the scheduled FDS activities.

During the meeting, both agencies talked about the different plans and strategies to make sure that all 4Ps beneficiaries who are not yet registered for the National ID will be given priority at all registration centers in the region. Since the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is the lead implementing agency in charge of the National ID program, it shared suggestions on how to carry out this activity using the current staff and resources available in each registration center. The goal is to make sure that no beneficiary is left behind and that the registration process will be smooth and well-organized in all areas.

With the full implementation of the National ID as a main requirement for social protection programs fast approaching, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) urges all unregistered 4Ps beneficiaries to register for National ID. Being registered will benefit the beneficiary, as this will serve as their official proof of identity, making it easier to access government assistance and other important services like banking and transactions with private institutions
