As part of the ongoing effort to register more Filipinos in the National Identification System, the PhilSys Team of Zamboanga Sibugay continues to focus on reaching unregistered individuals, particularly children aged one (1) to four (4) years old. On 28 August 2024, the PSA – Zamboanga Sibugay launched the “Rehistro Bulilit” campaign at the Municipal Covered Court in Poblacion, Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay. The campaign aimed to bring PSA’s services closer to this young, unregistered population and encourage parents and guardians to register their children for the National ID System.

The event offered several services, including National ID registration, ePhilID issuance, Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrieval for lost transaction slips, Digital National ID assistance, and replacement requests for peeled-off photos in  National ID cards. The team also addressed concerns about the delayed delivery of PhilID cards and incorrect demographic entries. They provided explanations for potential delays and encouraged the use of printed ePhilIDs and digital National IDs while awaiting the physical cards, as these options offer the same functionality and validity.

To make the registration process more enjoyable for the kids, nursery rhyme videos were played, and team members wore fun, animal-themed headpieces that added a playful touch to capture the kids’ attention. The venue was brightly decorated to create an inviting atmosphere, and registered kids received special loot bags as a token of appreciation for their participation in the event.

PSA Zamboanga Sibugay will continue to work diligently to make National ID registration accessible and inclusive for everyone.
