Psa Philsys Campaign On National Id Still Continues

Despite extensive information dissemination initiatives aimed to inform the relying parties and the public on the uses and importance of the national id, there are still government agencies, LGUs and private entities that are not accepting this document. The Republic Act 11055, specifically in section 19, explicitly mandates that “Any person or entity who, without just and sufficient cause, shall refuse to accept, acknowledge, and/or recognize the PhilID or PSN, subject to authentication, as the only official identification of the holder/possessor thereof shall be fined in the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500, 000.00)”.
In response to these challenges, PSA PhilSys Zamboanga del Norte has proactively initiated the distribution and posting of stickers to different establishments in cities/municipalities throughout the province signalling their cooperation. By doing so, the agency seeks to underscore the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders and encourage widespread acceptance of the PhilID, thereby promoting the efficient and unified adoption of this significant identification document.
