06 May 2025 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) IX conducted an on-site meeting with the officials of the Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) – Main Campus to discuss the National ID Authentication Services. Spearheaded by Mr. George B. Serilla, OIC-CRASD, Chief, and Mr. Conrad E. Sontillano, Chief Statistical Specialist/PhilSys Regional Coordinator along with Mr. Jacob Shaquille T. Wee, Registration Officer III, and Ms. Donna D. Catacutan, Information Systems Analyst I, conducted an on-site meeting to introduce the National ID Authentication Services to Universidad de Zamboanga (UZ) – Main Campus. The university was represented by Ms. Maria Katherine E. Lim, Supervisor - External Affairs and Institutional Development Center, Ms. Fatima Rashida U. Taguranao, Associate - External Affairs and Institutional Development Center, and Ms. Jenivie F. Apolinario, Associate – External Affairs and Institutional Development Center.

One of the key highlights of the meeting was the live demonstration of the National ID Authentication Services. The PSA IX emphasized the importance of accepting the National ID in various transactions and its other forms. Additionally, the PSA IX emphasized that the National ID Authentication Services are provided free of charge and highlighted that the National ID System serves as a foundational identification system and digital platform aimed at promoting seamless service delivery, enhancing administrative governance, reducing corruption, strengthening financial inclusion, ensuring accurate student enrollment, and facilitating ease of doing business.

The PSA IX is committed to highlighting the significance and advantages of registering in the National ID program, which is accessible to all Filipino citizens.
