04-06 February 2025 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) conducted the Second Level Training on Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) and Producer Price Survey (PPS) headed by Ms. Ma. Flerida E. Tan, OIC SOCD Chief, Atty. Richard D. Tabigne, Chief Statistical Specialist, PSO-Zamboanga Sibugay and Mr. Andres S. Tapales Jr., OIC-Chief Statistical Specialist, PSO-Zamboanga del Norte at Function Hall, PSA-RSSO IX, San Jose Road, Baliwasan, this City.

Ms. Rabia A. Nami, Statistical Specialist II, served as the resource person during the 3-day training on February 2025 Second Level Training on MISSI-PPS.

Ms. Edna D. Kiskis, Senior Statistical Specialist of PSO-Zamboanga del Norte, Ms. April Ruth N. Aure-De Villa, Adminsitrative Aide VI of PSO-Zamboanga Sibugay, Mr. Jeffrey B. Gaballo, Statistical Specialist II, Ms. Michelle Grace C. Natividad, Statistical Specialist II, Ms. Daisy P. Yanos, Statistical Analyst and Mr. Alghabid G. Inggal, Statistical Specialist I of RSSO IX participated in the 3-day training.

The Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) covers key manufacturing industries, tracking their performance through monthly indices and growth rates. The survey collects data on employment, compensation, production value, sales, inventories, and capacity utilization from manufacturing establishments.

The Producer Price Survey (PPS) gathers monthly producer prices of industry products from sampled manufacturing establishments. The PPS data are used to generate and compile the monthly Producer Price Index (PPI) for the manufacturing sector, which measures the average price change of domestically produced goods sold to wholesalers and domestic consumers, relative to a base period.
