Philippine Statistics Authority IX conducts the Third Level Training on January 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2023 Family Income Expenditures Survey (FIES) Visit 2

03 – 09 January 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA-RSSO) IX conducted the Third Level Training on January 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2023 Family Income and Expenditures Survey (FIES) Visit 2 at Grand Astoria Hotel headed by Regional Director Mewchun WS. Pamaran.
Officer-In-Charge CRASD Chief Conrad E. Sontillano formally opened the training with his opening remarks. Afterwards, Statistical Specialist II Rabia A. Nami shared the training house rules. Officer-In-Charge SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan shared and discussed the Issues Encountered During July 2023 LFS and FIES Visit 1 Training and Enumeration Period and Possible Solutions to Address Them, Update Codes, Master Sample and Training Overview.

The presenters during the Third Level Training on January 2024 LFS and 2023 FIES Visit 2 were Officer-In-Charge SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan, Statistical Specialist II Rabia A. Nami, Statistical Specialist II Jeffrey B. Gaballo, Information Officer I Michelle Grace C. Natividad and Registration Officer I Muslima A. Mahari.  

The 7-day training was composed of discussions, training exercises, open forums and mocked interviews for the statistical researchers effective and efficient data gathering during the enumeration period.

Statistical Specialist II Sol M. Lazo from PSA-Central office under the Income and Employment Statistics Division visited during the last day of the training and shared her message reminding the Team Supervisors (TSs) and Statistical Researchers (SRs) of the importance of the data collected under these surveys and gave the urgency of probing during data gathering.

The third level training on January 2024 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2023 Family Income and Expenditures Survey (FIES) Visit 2 was concluded by the closing message of Officer-In-Charge SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan.
