Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zamboanga del Norte successfully awarded Security Paper (SECPA) birth certificates to 78 beneficiaries under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in Gutalac on January 15, 2025. This initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to assist individuals facing challenges in birth registration. The distribution event was held at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Municipal Hall in Gutalac, attended by local government officials, PSA representatives, and beneficiaries. The BRAP aims to provide free civil registry documents, particularly birth certificates, to unregistered individuals, ensuring their access to legal identity and essential services.

This initiative reflects PSA's commitment to ensuring every Filipino has access to essential documentation for legal, social, and economic purposes. We thank the local government of Gutalac for its collaboration in making this project a success. Beneficiaries, including those from marginalized sectors, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to obtain official birth certificates. "This birth certificate will help me access various government services and opportunities. I am truly thankful for this support," said recipient Jose Dompol Maes. The BRAP continues to assist individuals, especially in remote areas, who face challenges in securing birth registration due to financial constraints or lack of access. PSA Zamboanga del Norte remains dedicated to partnering with local government units and stakeholders to expand its reach, ensuring accurate civil registration for every Filipino.
