Engr. Bernardo C. Martinez, Provincial Statistics Officer (PSO) and Mr. Rommel Victor del Pilar, Registration Officer II (RO II) of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office attended the “Kasalan ng Bayan 2018” in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur last July 18, 2018.

Mr. Martinez emphasized in his message that family is the foundation in the development of society wherein marriage is the legal union of a man and a woman. He also reminded the twelve (12) couples to faithfully perform their duties and responsibilities in the establishment of their respective families. Furthermore, every couple was encouraged to register their marriage certificate and the birth certificate of their future children.

The event was hosted by the Municipal Government of Labangan and is in line with the celebration of their 69^th Founding Anniversary. The event was braced by the LGU Officials, couples, family and relatives. The PSA is committed to support all endeavours spearheaded by the Municipal or Local Civil Registrars to continuously reach the goal of full registration in the region.
