As part of the persistent effort to register more Filipinos to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the PSA – Zamboanga Sibugay PhilSys team extended its registration services to the attendees through the One-Stop-Shop Service during the 23rd Araw ng Zamboanga Sibugay Job Fair spearheaded by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) IX last February 21-22, 2024 at Capitol Atrium, Capitol Hills, Ipil Heights, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Statistical Specialist II Marvin A. Maylon and PhilSys Focal Person Ms. Angelica May Dalis led the conduct of the mobile registration together with the PhilSys personnel. Some the services offered during the two-day mobile registration activity were the PhilSys Step 2 registration, registration of children aged 1 to 4 years old, issuance of ePhilID, and TRN retrieval. Concerns about the delayed delivery of PhilID cards and the incorrect demographic entries of the registered individuals were also addressed.
The job fair offered various job opportunities from different industries, including business process outsourcing, construction, hotel, healthcare, and retail. The PSA’s presence at the event provided an opportunity for the attendees to register for the PhilSys ID, which is essential for employment, banking, and other transactions.
The PSA is continuously expanding its reach to register more Filipinos for the PhilSys ID. The national ID system is a vital tool that will make transactions with government agencies, financial institutions, and private companies more accessible and secure.
The provincial government of Zamboanga Sibugay expressed its gratitude to PSA – Sibugay for their unwavering support that benefited the constituents of the province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
