14 February 2024 – ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY. The PSA – Zamboanga Sibugay successfully administered a training session on the implementation of registration of children aged 1 to 4 years old, along with the utilization of basic online authentication application in the DSWD PhilSys registration of 4Ps beneficiaries. The training took place at the PSA Training Room, YOHO Center, Sanito, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The session, led by PhilSys Focal Person Angelica May Dalis, Information Officer I Joric Jimenez, and Information Systems Analyst I William Gaffud, aimed to fully equip and guide PhilSys registration personnel in processing the registration of children 1 to 4 years old and the registration/authentication of 4Ps beneficiaries.

Some of the topics discussed during the training were the guidelines for the full-scale PhilSys registration of Filipino children aged 1 to 4 years old such as the identification and/or supporting documents to be presented by the accompanying parent/guardian and identification and/or supporting documents of Filipino children below five years old, procedure in the registration, and briefing on the use of basic online authentication application in the DSWD PhilSys Registration of 4Ps beneficiaries.

The Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), with its objective to provide valid proof of identity for all citizens and resident aliens, implements the registration of children 1 to 4 years old. The parents/guardian shall accompany the minor below 5 years old and the accompanying person must be PhilSys-registered prior to the registration of the children in PhilSys. The PhilSys Number (PSN) of the children is linked to the PSN of the parent/guardian.

On 15 February 2024, the PSA – Zamboanga Sibugay PhilSys Team kicks-off the registration of 1 to 4 years old children. The PhilSys Team is currently conducting mobile registrations in sitios, puroks, and barangays around the province to provide convenient and accessible service to all ensuring PhilSys is inclusive to all Filipinos.
