27 FEBRUARY 2023, Zamboanga City- In celebration of the 33rd Civil Registration Month (CRM) this February 2023 with the theme: “PSA@10: Providing Efficient and Effective Civil Registration and Vital Statistics through Digital Transformation”, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducted the 3rd Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Quiz Bee for LCRO’s National Finals last 27 February 2023, eight o’clock in the morning at Luxent Hotel, Timog Avenue Diliman, Quezon City.

The coverage of the 3rd National CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO’s are information regarding the creation of PSA, trivia, history, new laws related to CRVS, business processes, policies and procedures on CRVS, ITP2 and new projects and programs of PSA.

The Round 1 questions are in multiple choice, Round 2 is fill in the blank type of quiz, and Round 3 is in identification/enumeration type. Each round has 10 questions or statements with corresponding points. The number of points were tallied after each round and is consolidated at the end of three rounds to determine the winner.

The winners are Ms. Crisha Mae G. Paitan of Region X was awarded as the 2nd Runner-Up and Mr. Roberto R. Guieb of Region IX as 1st Runner-Up with a total of 32 points. This year’s Champion for the CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO’s is Mr. Romeo Alcantara Jr. of the National Capital Region garnering a total of 37 points.

Mr. Roberto Guieb who served as the representative of Region IX to the National Finals is from LGU Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay who won as the champion during the CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO’s Regional Finals last 15 February 2023 at Badjao Hall, Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City. He was then awarded with a Plaque of Recognition as the 1st Runner-Up during the 3rd National CRVS Quiz Bee for LCRO Employees.
