PSA Launches the PhilSys Registration Center at Barangay Dulian Upper Bunguiao and Barangay La paz

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Zamboanga City officially opened the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration Center in barangay Dulian Upper Bunguiao and barangay La Paz last 14 February 2022 and 21 February 2022 respectively.

Engr. Belinda B. Garcia, Chief of Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division was among those in attendance and in her message, acknowledged the support of the barangay councils and for the warm welcome given to the PSA. She further advised that health protocols should still be observed as the threat of COVID-19 is not yet eliminated. Joining her was the Land Bank of the Philippines Department Head for Zamboanga City, Mr. Rodolfo A. Luceñada who also gave a message emphasizing the role of Land Bank as co-locator in the registration center.

In addition, PSA RSSO IX also conducted the PhilSys Institutional Registration which is an on-site activity at the Zamboanga City Jail, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and Department of Agriculture (DA) from 2-28 February 2022. The PSA aims to set up more registration centers in other barangays that were preregistered in Step 1 for this year.
