04 October 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Regional Statistical Services Office together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched its first National ID Family Development Session (FDS) Caravan at Barangay Sto. Niño on October 4-5, 2024.

The caravan aims to provide National ID registration and issue printed copies of the National ID in paper form for 4Ps beneficiaries. The caravan covered five barangays, including Barangay Sto. Niño, Baliwasan, Campo Islam, San Jose Gusu, and San Jose Cawa-Cawa.

A total of 143 beneficiaries, including children ages 1 to 4, were registered for the National ID. Additionally, 419 printed National IDs in paper form were issued to beneficiaries who requested a copy. The launch of the first Family Development Session Caravan was a success, ensuring swift and efficient access to National ID services.

To date, PSA RSSO IX continues to further intensify its goal to make National ID registration more accessible to the public.
