The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX (RSSO IX) spearheaded the Focus Group Discussion on Construction with Construction Firms in coordination with PSA Central Office – Macroeconomic Accounts Service representatives OIC Chief Statistical Specialist Manuela S . Nalugon and Statistical Analyst Reann C. Dela Cruz at Oakwood Hall, WINN Hotel, Canelar, this City.

This activity aims to gather updated parameters to improve the estimation of the construction sector for national and regional accounts. Specifically, it seeks to collect information on the following key aspects; Duration of construction activities, categorized by type, phase, and location; Cost of construction materials used, broken down by type, phase, and location; Sources of materials; Undercoverage concerns and potential gaps in data collection; Challenges faced during construction activities; Valuable insights from stakeholders and key informants.

By gathering this information, the activity seeks to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the construction sector estimates, ultimately contributing to better-informed decision-making.
