23 – 27 January 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA-RSSO) IX conducted the Second Level Training on Enumeration Area (EA) Delineation for the Development of 2024 Enumeration Area Reference File (EARF) for the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System and Census of Population (2024 CBMS-POPCEN).
Administrative Assistant II Jesus Normel R. Alfanta and Information System Analyst I Shehana S. Ladjabangsa were the resource persons during the 5-day training at Annex Building, PSA-RSSO IX, Zamboanga City.

The Enumeration Area (EA) Delineation for the Development of 2024 Enumeration Area Reference File (EARF) for the 2024 CBMS-POPCEN involves the merging and delineation of the previous maps, along with field validation to ensure the accessibility of the pre-processed Enumeration Areas (EAs). Essentially, the activity aims to determine and update the EAs that needs splitting to form a relatively similar size EAs. It also aims to incorporate some adjustments made on the administrative boundaries as confirmed by the Local Government Unit (LGU) as a result from the conducted 2023 Integrated Processing of Maps activity.

In general, the 2024 EA Delineation and Merging activity intends to come up with final EARF for all areas throughout the country to be utilized in the forthcoming 2024 CBMS-POPCEN.
