03-05 September 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) conducted the 2024 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey (APIS) 2nd and 3rd Level Training on Data Processing headed by Ms. Ma. Flerida E. Tan, OIC SOCD Chief together with Ms. Dimna P. Bienes, Supervising Statistical Specialist-PSO Zamboanga del Sur, Ms. Sesenia C. Belorio, Supervising Statistical Specialist-PSO Zamboanga del Norte and Ms. Rabia A. Nami, Statistical Specialist II and the Regional Focal Person of 2024 APIS at Terra Cotta Hotel, Tumaga, this City.

OIC SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan formally opened the training with her welcome message. The resource persons during the training were Ms. Rabia A. Nami, Statistical Specialist II and Ms. Aiza C. Gallegos, Administrative Assistant VI of PSO-Zamboanga Sibugay. Also present during the training were Ms. Dimna P. Bienes, Supervising Statistical Specialist of PSO-Zamboanga del Sur, Ms. Sesenia C. Belorio, Supervising Statistical Specialist of PSO-Zamboanga del Norte, the Regional Focal Person from the provinces and hired Data Processors.

The 2024 APIS is a rider survey for the July 2024 LFS, aiming to provide a quantitative framework for labor market planning and policy formulation, and estimate non-income poverty indicators. The 3-day training on 2024 APIS Data Processing is design to prepare and familiarize the Data Processors to ensure completeness, consistency, solve the issue and errors, and data editing of entries from Statistical Researchers using the Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) system during data gathering.

The data result of the 2024 APIS is expected to be release this December 2024.

The joint 2nd and 3rd Level Training on 2024 APIS Data Processing was concluded by the closing message of Ms. Sonia D. Supnet, Statistical Specialist II.
