The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX officially opened the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration Center at Zamboanga International Airport last 10 October 2022.

Conrad E. Sontillano, OIC-Chief of the Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division was among those in attendance and in his message, acknowledged the support of the employees and Zamboanga International Airport staff and for the warm welcome given to the PSA. He further stated that the PSA continues to intensify its goal to make the PhilSys registration more accessible to the people.
