The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX successfully conducted the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Provincial and Highly Urbanized City Level Refresher Training last 18-20 January 2022 at KCC Mall de Zamboanga. The activity was held to reinforce knowledge on best practices in the registration process as well as update the participants on current advisories related to PhilSys Step 2 Registration.

Dr. Mewchun WS. Pamaran, Regional Director of the PSA IX was among those in attendance and during her message acknowledged the participants who gave their utmost attention and diligence to contribute in the success of PhilSys last 2021. She further announced that PhilSys RSSO IX will open the KCC PhilSys Registration Center to reach out to more people in the City.

The three-day training was attended by forty three (43) personnel that included Registration Center Supervisors, Registration Kit Operators, Screeners, and Alternate Screeners. In accordance with the guidelines by the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), the participants were divided in two groups to maintain social distancing.

To date, PSA RSSO IX continues to conduct PhilSys mobile registration in selected barangays that have registered in Step 1 as well as Institutional Registration in both Government and Private Offices. The PSA aims to set up mobile registration centers in other strategically located barangays that were not covered earlier.
