The closing ceremony of the 28th National Statistics Month was held back-to-back with the POPCEN 2015 Data Dissemination Forum last October 27, 2017 at Yakan 2, Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Zamboanga City Branch hosted the closing ceremony.

More than one hundred participants attended the said activity with representatives coming from the different Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), as well as teachers and students from the academe and the private sectors.

The forum aimed to disseminate the demographic characteristics of the 2015 Census of Population results which were partially presented during the 27th NSM Opening Ceremony last 2016. A representative from the National Economic and Development Authority IX delivered the keynote address which emphasized the importance of statistics in achieving the AmBisyon 2040. Finally, the BSP Zamboanga City Branch in a presentation informed the public of their Consumer Protection advocacies.
