No less than the National Statistician and Civil Registrar General of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Dr. Lisa Grace S. Bersales, led the inauguration ceremony of the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) IX’s new office building last March 17, 2017.

The PSA RSSO IX hosted the 1st Quarter Directorate Meeting last March 16-17, 2017.  As key officials of the PSA from the central office and the other regional offices were in attendance, it was the best opportunity for the inauguration of the PSA RSSO IX’s new office building, located at  Dagdag  Building,  San Jose  Road, Baliwasan, Zamboanga City.

PSA RSSO IX’s dream to transfer to a more spacious office building to serve the public better and to provide a clientele-friendly environment was finally realized through the initiative and leadership of PSA RSSO IX Regional Director, Dr. Mewchun WS. Pamaran.

PSA’s top officials from the Central Office headed by NS Bersales, together with Deputy National Statisticians Estela De Guzman and Romeo Recide, the Assistant National Statisticians, Directors, and the Regional Directors of the eighteen regions were among the guests who graced the occasion. 

Various activities were prepared for the occasion. A cultural dance performed by the PSA Dance Troupe to the tune of Vamos a Zamboanga welcomed the visitors. The PSA choir rendered a beautiful interpretation of the Philippine National Anthem and the Zamboanga Hermosa hymn.
