24 June 2025 – Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Zamboanga Sibugay continues to bring essential services closer to the people through its ongoing mobile registration for the National Identification (NID) System, with a particular focus on senior citizens and individuals with limited mobility.

In close coordination with barangay officials, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (MSWDOs), and the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), the National ID registration team has been actively conducting barangay-based and house-to-house mobile registration services. These efforts are specifically designed to reach senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and bedridden individuals, ensuring that no one is left behind in the agency’s mission to provide inclusive and accessible identification services for all Filipinos.

This compassionate initiative responds directly to the challenges faced by vulnerable sectors in accessing fixed registration centers due to age, health conditions, or mobility limitations. By deploying trained personnel equipped with portable registration kits, the PSA-Zamboanga Sibugay NID registration team is extending its services to even the most remote and underserved communities across the province.

Moreover, this initiative supports the implementation of the Republic Act 11982 or the Expanded Centenarians Act, under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This law grants monetary incentives and formal recognition to Filipino senior citizens aged 80 and above. The National ID serves as one of the key requirements in applying for these incentives, making timely and accessible registration crucial for eligible beneficiaries.

Through this initiative, PSA Zamboanga Sibugay reaffirms its strong commitment to inclusive, accessible, and people-centered public service, because everyone deserves to be counted, recognized, and served, wherever they may be.
