22 March 2025 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) IX, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) - Curuan District, conducted a National ID registration in Barangay Buenavista to ensure 4Ps beneficiaries have access to the registration process.
A total of 290 beneficiaries successfully registered for the National ID, demonstrating the commitment of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to providing individuals with valid identification that can be used for both government and private transactions. This initiative was made possible through a strong partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), ensuring that residents, especially those receiving support from social programs, had the chance to register and obtain their National ID.
By closely working with DSWD, PSA IX continues to strengthen and expand its outreach programs, making sure that more people, including those in remote or disadvantaged areas, have easy access to this important service. Having a National ID helps individuals prove their identity when applying for jobs, opening bank accounts, or availing of government assistance, making everyday transactions more convenient. Through this ongoing collaboration, the government is ensuring that essential identification services reach as many communities as possible, improving accessibility and inclusion for all.
