In coordination with the Barangay Local Government Unit and Local Civil Registrar’s Office in the Municipality of Roseller T. Lim, Zamboanga Sibugay, the Philippine Statistics Authority - Zamboanga Sibugay awarded Certificate of Live Births (COLBs) in Security Paper (SECPA) to the Twenty-One (21) beneficiaries under Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) last 22 October 2024.
Despite the bad weather conditions caused by Typhoon Kristine, PSO Zamboanga Sibugay Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) Agents Julie Ann Q. Donaire-Birth Registration Coordinator (BRC) and Juvelyn R. Tan-Assistant Birth Registration Coordinator (ABRC), together with the Local Civil Registry Staff Ms. Airene Sannie, awarded Twenty-One (21) Certificate of Live Birth in Security Paper (SECPA) under Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in six (6) barangays: Barangay San Fernandino, Barangay San Antonio, Barangay Balansag, Barangay Tilasan, Barangay Ali Alsree, and Barangay Pres. Roxas in the Municipality of Roseller T. Lim in the Province of Zamboanga Sibugay.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) implements the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) which signifies that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices especially those belonging to the Indigenous Peoples (IPs), Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country, will be registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs). These offices will serve as a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and establish their legal identity.
Rosalina Gaam Indus-Ebayan, a seventy-two (72) years old housewife and Hon. Enerio Santa Romana Duma-og of Barangay Pres. Roxas expressed their profound gratitude to Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and to Local Civil Registry Office of Roseller T. Lim for providing their Certificate of Live Birth. After so many years they already received their SECPA for free. Marking the successful completion of a precise process of registration that involved screening, data verification, and application for delayed registration of birth at the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO).
