31 May 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), conducted an on-site PhilSys registration at the Processing Center for Displaced Person (PCDP) on May 31, 2024.
The partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development aims to register Filipinos that were deported back to the Philippines. This initiative helps provide identification to the deportees as one of the requirements of the DSWD assisting in relocating back to their hometown.
This will also serve as their proof of identification in any DSWD assistance and programs.

On May 30, 2024, a total of 412 deportees were transferred to the Processing Center for Displaced Person as reported by the Department of Social and Welfare Development. On May 31, 2024, a total of 336 deportees were registered to PhilSys through the on-site registration as they wait for the verification and issuance of their ePhilID.

To date, PSA RSSO IX continues to further intensify its goal to make PhilSys registration more accessible to the people.
