26 April 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX headed by Mewchun WS Pamaran, Regional Director together with Conrad E. Sontillano, OIC-CRASD Chief and Jacob Shaquille T. Wee, Registration Officer III led the PhilSys Online Campaign on April 26, 2024.

Representatives from different Banks and Money Remittance Centers joined the Online Campaign. The focus of the campaign is to promote the use of PhilID and ePhilID in financial transactions. The significance and importance of PhilSys in the development of a digitalized way of transactions was the focus of the campaign. The process on how to validate the authenticity of the PhilID or ePhlID was discussed during the activity. Sanctions for refusal to accept PhilID or ePhilID as a primary document was also highlighted during the campaign.

This also aims to encourage the participants to act as advocates in promoting the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) to a more digitalized and seamless transactions.
