The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA - RSSO IX) joined the annual Pride Parade by the City Government of Zamboanga through the office of Gender and Development of the City Mayor, in coordination with the Mujer LGBT Organization Inc. last 29th of June 2023 with the theme: “Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity”. The pride parade tagged as “Orgullo 2023”, gives the LGBTQIA+ community to celebrate and the opportunity to conduct a peaceful march and raise awareness of the current issues they confront on gender equality.

The parade started at Mayor Climaco Avenue near the Bureau of Fire Protection and concluded at the Paseo del Mar. The parade was attended by various community groups, school organizations, security sectors and national agencies, showing their support to the goals of eliminating gender inequalities among all and promote inclusivity among all sectors of the society.

As the parade concluded at the Paseo del Mar a short program followed afterwards, program proper started and with numerous activities and intermission numbers by the selected groups and were shown in the said venue. Overall, the pride parade went peaceful and the message that the group wants to convey were voiced.
