The PhilSys Registration Team of PSA Zamboanga Sibugay conducted an on-site Nation ID Registration at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay, on 26 September 2024. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting inclusivity and ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to enroll in the National ID System.
This collaboration with the BJMP is particularly aimed at assisting Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in completing their registration for the National ID System. This initiative would also enable them to have access in essential social services and benefits, which are crucial for rehabilitation and successful reintegration into society. To facilitate this process, BJMP officials played a pivotal role by preparing the necessary documents. Their support was instrumental in ensuring that the registration proceeded smoothly and efficiently. As a result, a total of fifty-nine (59) PDLs were successfully registered in the National ID System.
To date, PSA Zamboanga Sibugay is actively working to enhance the accessibility of National ID registration for the public. A range of strategies and initiatives is being implemented to effectively reach the community.
