On April 17, 2024, the PSA Zamboanga del Norte, headed by Chief Statistical Specialist Ma. Lila D. Daan, successfully conducted the Data Turnover Ceremony at the City Mayor’s Conference Room, in the city of Dapitan. This significant event was attended by the Honorable Mayor Seth Frederick P. Jalosjos, together with the City Administrator, Atty. Amalou Monroyo, and the department heads and representatives. This marks the symbolic transfer of the 2023 CBMS data to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dapitan. The CBMS data is expected to supply a comprehensive information of the LGU which will be used primarily in targeting its vulnerabilities allowing them to plan and create interventions to address local needs more effectively. Through this, the LGU is gearing up to craft a total of 44 development programs that would benefit decision-makers, program planners, and other stakeholders for its advancement in providing social, economic, education, environmental, and infrastructure services, among others, to the public.

Furthermore, the LGU recognizes the reliability of CBMS data for comprehensive poverty analysis. In fact, the Hon. Mayor himself stated that through this initiative, they will now have a clear indication on the level of poverty in their locality.
