The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office IX in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Zamboanga City officially opened the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration Center at Barangay Panubigan last 15 September 2022.

Bryan L. Madayag, Administrative Officer III of the Civil Registration and Administrative Support Division, was among those in attendance and in his message, acknowledged the support of the Barangay Council and for the warm welcome given to the PSA. He further advised that health protocols should still be observed as the threat of COVID-19 is not yet eliminated.

This year, the PSA aims to set up more registration centers in other barangays that were not covered in Step 1.
