PSA PhilSys Zamboanga del Norte proudly announces the successful completion of the pilot testing phase for the On-Demand Template Extraction in the CRS Authentication Application. The testing, which took place on August 15-16, 2023, marks a significant step forward in the preparation for the application's full-scale rollout later this year.
This pilot testing aims to determine if the on-demand template extraction function is working in our region, to determine the number of failed authentication, to establish the time required to perform the authentication and to identify problems and issues that could arise in the system.
The PhilSys team selected a representative sample of 20 – 30 PhilID holders for the pilot testing. Impressively, the team successfully authenticated a total of 35 PhilID/ePhilID holders during the testing phase. Authentication times ranged from a swift two seconds to a maximum of eight seconds, showcasing the application's swift response times. During the testing, it was noted that among the 35 PhilIDs authenticated, discrepancies were discovered in one demographic data set and two biometric data sets from three distinct IDs. These inconsistencies were promptly addressed and resolved by the ISMD.
With the successful completion of the pilot testing, PSA PhilSys Zamboanga del Norte eagerly anticipates the upcoming rollout of the authentication application. The insights gained from the testing phase will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for users as the application prepares for its launch in the final quarter of 2023.
