Officials from the Central Office (CO) and Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) IX, led by Acting SOCD Chief Flerida Tan and accompanied by Statistical Specialist II Rasul J. Maruji, Provincial Focal Person for the Livestock and Poultry Survey, conducted field data collection in the Municipality of Piñan from June 5 to 6, 2025. The activity covered selected households and establishments in the barangays of Poblacion South, Lapu-Lapu, Del Pilar, Calican, Villarico, and Desin.

This activity is part of the ongoing efforts to revise and rebase livestock and poultry parameters, aimed at enhancing the accuracy and reliability of agricultural statistics. The Livestock and Poultry Surveys: Household and Establishment are major agricultural surveys conducted by the PSA. These surveys gather data on production volume, inventory, average farmgate prices, and other key indicators. The resulting data provide estimates on supply and pricing of livestock and poultry commodities at both the household and establishment levels, supporting informed decision-making at the provincial scale.
