30 April 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA-RSSO) IX actively participated in the Mangrove Tree/Propagule Growing Activity spearheaded by the City Government of Zamboanga through the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources (OCENR).

The Mangrove Tree/Propagule Growing Activity took place at coastal zone of Purok 5, Barangay Dita, this City. The objective of the activity was to help restore and protect the coastal environment within the City of Zamboanga. This is also in line with the ongoing efforts on massive rehabilitation and enrichment program of the City Government which is among the identified priority program of the current local administration to plant and grow one million trees.

The activity was participated by various agencies both from local and national government including civil society organizations.
