22 September 2023 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. In celebration of the Philippine Statistics Authority 10th year anniversary, the Philippine Statistics Authority IX launched the Outstanding PSA Stakeholders Appreciation Awards to acknowledge the selected stakeholders and their contribution in data collection in the various surveys, civil registration and PhilSys. The appreciation night was headed by Regional Director Mewchun WS. Pamaran together with Officer-In-Charge CRASD Chief Conrad E. Sontillano and Officer-In-Charge SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan.

The Outstanding PSA Stakeholder awardees are from the different local and national government units, the academe, and private establishments. Officer-In-Charge SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan and Registration Officer IV Roxan Kastine M. Lumapas were the presenters of the awards during the ceremony proper.

The following local and national government units, the academe, and private establishments who received the recognition are the: Philippine Ports Authority, Outstanding Respondent (Regional Line Agency category), Pilar College of Zamboanga City, Inc., Outstanding Respondent (Academic Institution), Mega Plywood Corporation, Outstanding Respondent (Establishment category), Farmer’s Association President Mr. Teresito Mallari, Outstanding Household Respondent (Special Award), Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) Zamboanga City District Region IX-B, Outstanding Partner in Civil Registration, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), Outstanding Partner in Statistical Advocacy Activities, Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Outstanding Partner in Statistical Advocacy Activities, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Outstanding Partner in Statistical Planning, Policy, and Coordination, GBPI TV 11 Dateline Teleradyo, Outstanding Media Advocate for PSA Activities, Radyo Pilipinas Zamboanga, Outstanding Media Advocate for PSA Activities, Zamboanga Times, Outstanding Media Advocate for PSA Activities, and  Barangay Sibulao, Zamboanga City, Outstanding LGU Partner in PhilSys.

The PSA IX is filled with gratitude to the stakeholders who have been instrumental in achieving the agency’s mandates in delivering relevant and reliable statistics, efficient civil registration and inclusive identification system.
