The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical
Services Office IX in partnership with the Local Government Unit
of Zamboanga City officially opened the Philippine Identification
System (PhilSys) Registration Center at Barangay Ayala last 22
August 2022.

Bryan L. Madayag, PhilSys Focal Person of PSA RSSO IX was among
those in attendance and in his message, acknowledged the support
of the Barangay Council and for the warm welcome given to the
PSA. He further advised that health protocols should still be
observed as the threat of COVID-19 is not yet eliminated. Joining
them was Land Bank of the Philippines Department Head for
Zamboanga City, Mr. Rodolfo A. Luceñada who also gave a
message emphasizing the role of Land Bank as co-locator in the
registration center.
This year, the PSA aims to set up more registration centers in

other barangays that were not covered in Step 1.
