PSA Zamboanga del Norte Conducts the 3rd Level Training for 2025 July Labor Force Survey and Family Income and Expenditure Survey 1st Visit

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Zamboanga del Norte successfully conducted the third-level training for the July 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) First Visit from June 30 to July 6, 2025, at Missio Dei Hotel, Dipolog City. The seven-day training was spearheaded by Officer-in-Charge Statistical Specialist II Andres S. Tapales Jr., with Statistical Analyst Lanibel A. Pamatong serving as the focal person. Supporting the activity were three trainers: Statistical Specialist II Angelica A. Guirgio, who served as Assistant Focal Person; Registration Officer I Alicia A. Sieras; and Assistant Statistician Moriancumer A. Cabasag. A total of 57 hired personnel participated in the training.

The LFS is conducted on both a monthly and quarterly basis, gathering vital data from households across the country, which provides essential employment data nationwide, supporting policy and planning through key labor indicators. The 2025 FIES, conducted alongside the July 2025 for the 1st Visit and January 2026 LFS rounds for the 2nd Visit, is the primary source of data on Filipino families’ income, expenditures, and consumption, which is crucial for analyzing living standards and income inequality.
