09-13 September 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) conducted the joint Second and Third Level Training for Zamboanga City on 2024 Occupational Wages Survey (OWS) and 2023/2024 Integrated Survey on Labor and Employment (ISLE) at Terra Cotta Hotel, Tumaga, this City.
The OWS-ISLE is a nationwide survey conducted every two years, focusing on establishments with total employment of 10 or more workers.
The OWS aims to generate statistics for wage and salary administration and wage determination in collective bargaining negotiations. It also measures the wage differential across occupations and industries in the country. It likewise determines inequalities in typically low-wage occupations and high-range occupations among workers.
On the other hand, the ISLE is a modular survey that integrates concerns related to employment, workers’ welfare and protection, and labor relations. Its main objective is to generate an integrated data set on profile of establishments, employment of specific groups of workers, occupational shortages and surpluses, job related trainings of workers, occupational safety and health practices, occupational injuries and diseases, productivity improvement program, and gain-sharing practices.
PSA IX enjoins all sample-establishments, to support and participate by providing truthful data and to allow our hired Statistical Researchers to conduct face-to-face interviews.
