PSA IX conducted the 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) Data Dissemination Forum in Pagadian City
The 2022 National Demographic and Health Survey (NDHS) Regional Data Dissemination Forum was spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority's Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) last 13 of July 2023 at Four Queen's Resort, Pagadian City. The forum was attended by the commission of Population (POPCOM) IX, Department of Health (DOH) IX, Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Pagadian City, Women and Child Protection Desk, PNP, Pagadian City, National Economic and Development Authority IX, officials and staff from PSA IX and PSA Central Office, academe, stakeholders, and local press.
The resources persons of the forum for the 2022 NDHS forum key results were Ms. Flerida E. Tan OIC-SOCD Chief; Ms. Rosella C. Sumalpong, Statistical Specialist II; Ms. Angelica Guirgio, Statistical Specialist II and Ms. Roselyn R. Manalo, Assistant Statistician. The resource persons for the policies and program implications of the finding on key results were Dr. Jeff Y. Fuentes, Regional Director, Commision on Population IX; Dr. Joshua G. Brillantes, Regional Director, Department of Health IX; Dr. Anatalio E. Cagampang Jr., Francis Loius Alcachupas, Chief Technical Health Officer, Zamboanga Del Sur; and Ms. Roxanne T. Torres, Police Staff Seargeant of Women and Children Protection Desk, Philippine National Police IX, represented by Hazel A. Fernandez, Police Lieutenant of Women and Children Proctection Desk, Philippine National Police IX.
Also in the forum was Ms. Susan C. Valerio, Chief Economic Development Specialist, National Economic and Development Authority IX, who gave her message regarding the importance of the survey and the programs made based on the survey's result. Wilma A. Guillen, Assistant National Statistician, PSA Central Office, represented by Ms. Normin U. Dacula, Senior Statistician Specialist, Central Office, also gave the key note message.
The Philippine Statistics Authority IX laid the presentation on the key results on the Fertility and Family Planning, Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition, Childhood Mortality, HIV Knowledge, Women Empowerment and Domestic Violence. The accurate, timely, and reliable data are of great help to the policymakers in shaping policies and programs to promote the development and implementing them for locan government and its people.
