04 September 2023 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) conducted the Regional Press Launch of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF) via hybrid set-up. The said press launch was headed by Regional Director Mewchun WS. Pamaran, along with her were the PSA-RSSO IX officials and staff; OIC-CRASD Chief Conrad E. Sontillano, OIC-SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan, Registration Officer IV Roxan Kastine M. Lumapas, Statistical Specialist II Sonia D. Supnet, Statistical Specialist II and the Zamboanga City focal person for 2022 CAF Jeffrey B. Gaballo. Also present in the press launch are the stakeholders both from national and local government units.
Regional Director Mewchun WS. Pamaran formally opened the program and acknowledged the presence of the attendees especially the stakeholders who gave time to participate in the launching of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF). OIC-SOCD Chief Ma. Flerida E. Tan, shared the overview and the introduction of the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAF).

In the best interest of the public, the stakeholders are briefed with an audio video presentation on how to spot a legit CAF enumerator so that any misconception or hindrances with regards to the enumeration process that may occur in the future, the national or local government unit will take actions accordingly.

Afterwards, an open forum regarding the census status and some questions by our media partner were answered by the PSA IX officials immediately. Message of support to the census were shown through audio video presentation by the following; Undersecretary Mercedita Sombilla, Department of Agriculture, OIC-Director U-Nichols Manalo, Field Operation, Department of Agriculture, Assistant Representative Tamara Palis-Duran, Program, Food and Agriculture Organization, Councilor Nash Aguas, Cavite City, 4th District Representative Richard Gomez, Ormoc, Leyte, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Baguio, Mayor Joy Belmonte, Quezon City, Governor Daniel Fernando, Bulacan, Ms. Bea Binene, Celebrity/Vlogger and Ms. Bea Alonzo, Celebrity and CAF endorser.

The press launched was culminated by dancing to the tune of the CAF jingle by all the PSA IX officials, staff and Stakeholders.
