03-05 September 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Regional Statistical Services Office IX (PSA-RSSO IX) in collaboration with the Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) spearheaded the Mastering Data Management: A Guide to Google Sheets and MS Excel Training at Grand Astoria Hotel, this City.

The resource persons were Mr. Christopher E. Mojica, Senior Statistical Specialist and Ms. Haidee Fay M. Ignacio, Statistical Specialist II of the training division of PSRTI.

Ms. Roxan Kastine M. Lumapas, OIC CRASD Chief of PSA IX officially opened the training through her welcome message while, Ms. Maria Felicidad R. Guerrero, Regional Director of the National Economic and Development Authority IX (NEDA IX) shared her keynote message virtually.

The participants during the training are representatives from the academe, national and local government units, and officials and staff from the Philippine Statistics Authority IX (PSA IX) headed by Ms. Ma. Flerida E. Tan, OIC SOCD Chief and Ms. Sonia D. Supnet, Statistical Specialist II.

The 3-day training on Mastering Data Management: A Guide to Google Sheets and MS Excel will enable participants with the skills to efficiently integrate, format, chart and manage data using Google sheets and Microsoft Excel. Participants will also gain practical experience in using Google sheets and MS Excel, and navigate worksheets, graphics, databases, learn to manage and retrieve data from lists and tables.

On the third and last day of the training, Ms. Josefina V. Almeda, Executive Director of PSRTI gave her message to participants and shared her insights on the upcoming training of the agency to members of Regional Statistics Committee IX (RSC).

The training on Mastering Data Management was concluded by the closing message of OIC SOCD Chief Tan.
