31 October 2024 – ZAMBOANGA CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Regional Statistical Services Office together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted a Family Development Session (FDS) Caravan at different barangays of Zamboanga City in October 2024.
The collaboration between PSA and DSWD during the Family Development Session (FDS) Caravan is a valuable effort to bring National ID services directly to DSWD 4Ps beneficiaries in Zamboanga City. This outreach ensures that beneficiaries receive essential identification services, making accessing various government programs and benefits easier.
On the first week of October, the FDS Caravan kicked off at Barangay Sto. Nino with 143 beneficiaries registered and 419 printed National ID on paper form where issued. On the second week of October, the FDS Caravan occurred at Barangay Sta. Barbara, with a total number of 174 beneficiaries registered and 799 printed National IDs issued. On the third week of October, the FDS caravan transpired in three different Barangays which are Sta. Catalina, Zone I, and Limpapa, with a total of 220 beneficiaries registered and issued 1144 printed National ID on paper form. On the last reference week of October, the FDS Caravan occurred at different Barangays such as Labuan, Talisayan, La Paz, Ayala, Baluno, Maasin, and Sinunuc. With a total of 764 beneficiaries registered and issued 3143 printed National IDs on paper.
The data suggests that the PSA-DSWD FDS Caravan has been successful in providing swift and efficient services to the public. The PSA National ID services have been widely utilized, with a significant number of clients registering and requesting a copy of their National ID printed on paper.
