Assessment of RSDG Indicators

In Region IX, the assessment of the SDG indicators was conducted through a series of technical workshop and bilateral meetings with the SDG Assessment Matrix as its primary output, which includes the following information:

A. Tier classification based on the national perspective
Tier 1 - indicators with established methodology, regularly collected
Tier 2 - indicators with established methodology, data not regularly collected
Tier 3 - indicators with no established methodology, methodologies are being developed/tested

B. Available levels of disaggregation, whether the indicator is available at the:
1. National
2. Regional
3. Provincial
4. By Sex
5. Other disaggregation available

C. Latest available data
D. Frequency of data collection
1. Monthly
2. Quarterly
3. Annual
4. Every 2 years
5. Every 3 years
6. Every 5 years
7. Irregular

E. Source/s of data
1. Data Compiler
2. Basic Data Provider
F. Accountable organization for the achievement of the indicator
G. Relevance of the indicator, whether it is included in PDP or not included in the PDP
H. Priority of generating the indicator for tier 2 and 3 indicators

The assessment made on the availability of the SDG indicators in the Philippines showed that out of 244 indicators, 102 indicators were classified as Tier 1 indicators, 60 were Tier 2 indicators, 71 were Tier 3 indicators and 11 indicators were not applicable to the country.
